The #pianodrome is a 100-seater amphitheatre constructed entirely from over 50 up-cycled pianos. Open every day from 3 – 26 August at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

In August 2017 we built a mini 30-seater Pianodrome and opened it as a free performance venue and community space.

Olivier Bardina filmed the opening – watch the video here!

Pianos are like people

No piano is junk and no person is ‘unmusical’.

The #pianodrome is a musical instrument and performance place for everyone regardless of age, gender, social status, race or ability. It’s a place for all to play. We have worked with over 100 volunteers throughout the summer to help realise this dream – and we’re always on the lookout for people to get involved.
