Resonancy Platform | Caro Bridges | The Scientist & The Siren

The Scientist & The Siren is a story about where things meet. A marine scientist meets a mermaid on the edge of the land and the sea at a time when the two are getting ever closer. Exploring where dreams blur with reality, where humans become superhuman, and where breath turns into time, we follow the scientist and the siren on an interweaving journey on the edge towards the end of home as we know it.

This will be the first scratch performance of the story, told through words, song, and sound by creator Caro Bridges, kindly and expertly supported by fellow Pianodrome Resonator, Aurora Engine.

Caro Bridges has lived and worked as a musician in Edinburgh for the past ten years, fronting her own band Caro Bridges & The River and collaborating with other musicians and bands along the way, including indie band The Last Battle, art rock group Randan Discotheque, jazz folk fusion trio Enharmonic Collective, and celtic soul troupe Ewan Macintyre Band. She primarily works as a choir leader and community musician, supporting diverse communities in creating and performing music they love. The Scientist & The Siren is her first piece for the stage.
