Samba Sene

Drum/percussion workshop, led by exuberant Senegalese musician Samba Sene, with Cheefe Solomon and Sam Oko. Exploring traditional and contemporary Senegalese rhythms and beats on djembe and percussion. All abilities welcome, instruments provided.

Open to all ages and experience, from 14+.

NOTE: maximum workshop capacity is 30. First come, first served.

About the artist

Born in Dakar, Senegal, Samba Sene has been based in Scotland since 1999. A charismatic singer and musician, performing in French, English and Wolof, his style is strongly influenced by international music – from reggae, ska, jazz, Latin, rock, blues to traditional music from Senegal and Scotland.
