A night that focuses on the messages that young people in Scotland believe are important. Rap, spoken word artists, singers, and comedians from all over Scotland and further afield take the stage and share their messages in the Old Royal High School’s Debating chamber. This chamber was formerly used for the Scottish Parliamentary debates, and we can think of nowhere better to gather and share our thoughts and art. A parliament is supposed to be a place where people can stand up, represent themselves, and represent the people around them, yet the average person’s voice or concerns are seldomly heard. This night will be a chance for Scotland’s young artist to be heard, represented, and championed whilst sharing their art and culture in a space that they haven’t before. Hosted by Culture Clan’s/Tinderboxes Kouk and Glasgow comedian Mark Black.
The show will have an eclectic nature with artists representing many different values, backgrounds, and disciplines but there is one thing we know for sure; this showcase will have you laughing, crying, and most importantly dancing along.
Culture Clan are also collaborating with the Tinderbox Orchestra on the 19th.
Please Note: This show contains moving/flashing lights.
