Donate a Piano

Thank you for kindly offering to donate your old piano to our project.

Our showroom is nearly at capacity, therefore we are not able to accept pianos that are not playable at this time. If you have a working piano that you would like to donate please fill in the form below. If you don’t hear back from us within a week please check your spam, sometimes our responses end up there!

Visit our Showroom if you are looking for a replacement piano and encourage your friends to do the same - we have a great selection and any donation amount is accepted.

Piano fixing and tuning

First things first - is your piano in need of a pitch raise or a quick fix instead of a new home?

If so, we can help.

For tuning we recommend our friends Ben and Joel.

Ben Treuhaft at the Underwater Piano Shop (07438 302957) charges £75 for tuning (including raising a pitch as much as one semitone) and £50 per hour for fixing.

Joel Sanderson, The Piano Doctor (07788 406981) charges £70 for a regularly tuned upright piano, £80 for a grand piano and between £80 and £100 for a pitch raise.

We also are fixing pianos in the Edinburgh area. Contact us at adopt@pianodrome.org if you’d like us to bring your piano back to working order.

Piano delivery

Pianodrome are not able to cover delivery costs but we can put you in touch with professional piano movers to get your piano to us.

Considering donating your piano?

If your piano is in a playable condition and you are able to cover transport, please fill in the form. We will be in touch to arrange the donation.

We would love to learn more about your piano - the details will help us keep track of donations and grow an archive of piano stories.

The form does not accept uploads, but we would prefer to see photos of the piano so we can make remote assessment. A photo of the keyboard and one of the inside of the piano with the top lid open will help give you a quick answer. Please email photos Photos directly to adopt@pianodrome.org (please reference the piano when sending photos). If this isn’t possible and you live in the Edinburgh area we can come out to you to assess the piano.

Thank you for supporting our project!
