Cyrille is a French Counter tenor. He started singing at age 7 in a Boys Choir based in his hometown, in Nogent-sur-Marne (near Paris). He has stayed in this choir until he was 18, which made him sing more than 50 concerts every year, as a solo and ensemble singer, in prestigious places in Paris (Notre-Dame de Paris, Saint-Eustache, Saint-Louis en L’Île etc.) and abroad during the international summer tours (Spain, Switzerland, U.S.A., Japan…). In 2011, he began his proper singing studies in the « Département Supérieur pour Jeunes Chanteurs », linked to the prestigious Conservatoire National Régional de Paris. In 2015, he received his « Diplôme d’Etudes Musicales ». Then, he studied in the « Département de Musique Ancienne » (specialized in the ancient music répertoire, from middle-ages to late baroque ») in the same Conservatoire, with Isabelle Poulenard as his main teacher. There, he performed the roles of Telemaco in Monteverdi’s « The Return of Ulysses », L’Homme Affligé in Psyché, by Lully and Appolo in Luigi Rossi’s Orfeo.
He performed the role of Tullio in Haendel’s Arminio, with young French ensemble Vox 21 during the Festival de Bourbon Lancy. In sacred music he sang, among other things, the alto solo part in Bach Cantata 144 with Antoine Torunczyk conducting, Bach Christmas Oratorio in various places in Burgundy and in le Collège des Bernardins à Paris, with La Fenice conducted by Jean Tubery, Zelenka’s Lamentation of Jeremiah per Alto Solo with ensemble Musica Vera conducted by Jean-Baptiste Nicolas… He also regularly performs as an a cappella ensemble singer to perform Renaissance music, most notably with Ensemble Cosmos and Les Voix Animées, conducted by Luc Coadou.
