Ukrainian born pianist Kristina Avalian started making music at the age of 6. From 2014 to the present she has been a student of the Children's Art School, Kyiv (teacher: Svetlana Udovchenko). She is a laureate of All-Ukrainian and International competitions, including laureate of the Vladimir Horowitz International Competition.
At age 13 Kristina and her elder sister Karyna, accompanied by their mother, travelled to Scotland in July 2022 in order for the sisters to take up the offer of places at St Mary's Music School in Edinburgh to continue their education.
This is Kristina's debut recital in Edinburgh.
