“I play the piano and I tell stories, in no particular order. I make a lot of it up. I read between the lines, change things, add notes, alter rhythms, disrupt melodies, mutate harmonies and get lost in it all. My work is improvisation written down, and then retold.”

A melting pot brimming over with influence from Fats Waller stride, Sousa marches, Victorian parlour tunes, the Great American songbook, Gilbert and Sullivan, Methodist hymns, plantation tunes, Beatles’ songs, Keith Jarrett meanderings, and onwards.
