Pianodrome LIVEstream is back for a serene Sunday Session featuring four of our favourite acts in the warm and intimate embrace of the Pianodrome.

Pianodrome LIVEstream puts you on the front row of our up-cycled piano amphitheatre. The show will be hosted live by Pianodrome Director and musician Matt Wright, with the artists on hand to answer questions about their music during the show.

Featuring the huge talent of Jemima Thewes & Tim Lane, Kate Young, Maud the Moth, and Sam Gillespie - all melodious wonders presenting exquisite performances on stringed instruments, piano and voice - a pure, unmissable treat.

Jemima Thewes & Tim Lane

Jemima Thewes and Tim Lane are an enveloping folksy fusion of dark songs and bright rhythms. Cloud hopping tales are told by the warm and haunting vocals of song-writer Jemima. She is accompanied by playful, atmospheric rhythms from Tim on the percussive time lines. The wonderful combination of strings and a rare wooden box in the form of a chromatic tongue drum creates an innovative sound which along with Jemima and Tim’s blended voices, magically stirs the emotions to the very heart of the soul.

Kate Young

Kate's compositions are a thing to behold - rhythmically entrancing folk originals which explore the depths of nature's potential for healing our disturbed human souls. Her voice soars through intricately woven compositions. Kate is also known for her work with Songs of Separation (winners of BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2017 – ‘Album of the Year’), as well as Eliza Carthy MBE in – Carthy, Oates, Farrell & Young, and her own band, Kate in the Kettle.

Maud the Moth

Maud the Moth is the solo project of Amaya López-Carromero, a Madrid born pianist, singer and songwriter. She draws on a wide-ranging musical background, including traditional folk, jazz, classical, avant-garde and rock. These disparate influences are carefully woven into a rich, coherent and heartfelt musical tapestry with an eclectic and unique personality.

Sam Gillespie

The music of Northumbrian folk-blues bard Sam Gillespie combines visionary, lyrical song writing, intricate fingerstyle guitar and a soaring voice. In performance his songs are animated by a sensitivity and energy that respond dynamically to the listeners and the moment, opening up the space for magic to happen.

Ticket revenue goes towards covering Pianodrome's costs and supporting our musicians - please pay what you can.
