These hammers are from pianos which can be up to 150 years old and we offer only the best preserved ones - like those in photos.
The hammers are hidden in the piano action and take some time to get to, therefore they should be pretty clean by the time they are packaged for you, however some small dust particles might remain.
Hammer with mute - dimensions:
The hammers and their parts vary slightly in terms of size. Their approximate length and width is approx. 18 x 18cm when arranged for posting. Depth is approx. 1cm.
The hammers and mutes are sold with all of their parts intact, however due to their age we cannot vouch for the longevity of their smallest parts like felt, springs, belt etc.

Reclaimed Piano Hammer with Mute (pack of 4)
These hammers come from pianos which have ceased their working life as a musical instrument and are now retiring to rest in a different form. We thoroughly examine the condition of each piano which arrives at our studio/warehouse in Edinburgh to make sure it can no longer be played before dismantling it.
Most piano parts will be used to build a new Pianodrome venue and sculptures, but we have a lot (!) of hammers and would like to make them available for your enjoyment, creative projects and ideas.
